RoadMap For Academic Projects


Year 2016 (July 2016 to Dec 2016) ->


  PCIe Gen1/2/3 Controller   -> In Progress
  PCIe Controller Project


Year 2017   ( Will start in month of Oct 2016 )
  1. SoC Project
  • Working on SoC will give an exposer to working on system, like how to deal with different IP's along with processor.  
  • You will get a completely different domain. 
  • It will help to build your career in VLSI. 
  2. DDR3 Controller
  • Memory is one of the area where many companies are doing R&D. 
  • Now DDR5 is coming , but working on DDR older version will give an idea how memory work. 
  • We will build constraint file also , this is one of the main area while working on DDR projects.
  • Will learn about the different types of memory.
  3. DSP Project - Algorithm based
  • It is a completely different domain and will required a thorough knowledge on different type of algorithm. 
  • Few of us understand the concepts on different type of transformation and their practical usage.
  • This is tentative.  
  4. AXI Master and Slave
  • One of the main common bus protocol used in SoC.
  • There are different concepts in AXI , and different ways to handle those.
  • It will be great learning , you will get to know arbitration logic and other things.
  • Master and Slave is kind of different concepts to understand, it will boost your career.  

All the Academic Projects are for learning purpose, it will increase your candidature when you are appearing for interview and says I have worked in "X"  project.

PS: These projects are to build the gap between industry requirement and academic learning. Working on these projects will give industrial experience.

  1. Thanks for the response ... Sine team size can not be unlimited , If you want to be part of team , send your response now. It is based on first in first out. Few more people required to build team on DDR Controller Project which will start from Oct/Nov 2016.
